What is the difference between caster sugar and white sugar?

However, castor sugar tends to be much more refined than white sugar which tends to be significantly less refined in nature.
Castor sugar exists in powder form whereas in white sugar, the sugar granules can be seen. The granules in castor sugar are almost impossible to differentiate from one another while it is quite easy to separate one sugar granule from another in white sugar. This is due to the fact that castor sugar is milled much more than white sugar. White sugar is the most commonly used type of sugar that is found in every household as table sugar whereas castor sugar is not that widely used except for those who practice the art of cooking desserts and cakes on a regular basis. Because of the fineness of the sugar granules, castor sugar dissolves much quickly in beverages and other substances than white sugar which tends to take quite a lot of time to dissolve in cold beverages.
