What is Acadia?

Chevrolet Traverse which was introduced in 2009, is a seven/eight seat crossover SUV which debuted at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show and made its way to dealerships in October 2008. It boasts of a LLT engine, a 6-speed automatic transmission which lends power to its wheels and dual exhaust which delivers 288 hp (215 kW). With the exception of doors, the Traverse also boasts of being comprised of unique sheet metal different from the other Lambda crossovers.
What is the difference between Traverse and Acadia?
While the Acadia and the Traverse is termed as sibling vehicles with may similarities. Yet, because of certain differences that these two share, the Acadia is placed higher in price that the Traverse. Also, Acadia was introduced before Traverse which makes Traverse the newer edition.
While Acadia’s shape and styling has a more athletic stance and also upscale exterior lines, the interior of the Traverse was made to please the entry-level segment of large crossovers. While Acadia boasts of many extra features such as an overhead console, an entertainment system, a remote vehicle starting system and is also available in metallic monotone and tri-coat monotone colors, the Traverse does not have these options. Also while Arcadia boasts of a horse power of 288 @ 6,300 rpm and a 270 @ 3,400 rpm Torque, Traverse only has 281 @ 6,300 rpm horse power and 266 @ 3,400 rpm torque.
While both have similar seating capacity and luggage capacity, Traverse stands five inches taller. Also, the fuel economy of both the vehicles stand at 16-17 mpg in urban areas and 23-24 mpg on the highway emanating 9.6 tons of carbon per annum. Also while both vehicles can boast of heated seats, rear view cameras, DVD player and two panel-sunroof, Arcadia has LED taillights and key less remote entry whereas Traverse boasts of a panoramic moon roof, Bluetooth and a sophisticated navigation system.
